Bollywood stars at 83rd Oscars Annual Academy Awards
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan happened to be in Los Angeles on a vacation. And she decided a visit to the Oscars would be part of her itinerary.
The beauty wowed on the red carpet in a strapless gown in deep brown with gold details.
A R Rahman looked dapper in an all-black suit with an aquamarine tie. He was accompanied by wife Saira Banu who looked demure in a cream salwar suit.
Mallika Sherawat va va voomed on to the red carpet in a sparkly one-shoulder number with a thigh-high slit.
We can’t believe Mallika is in Hollywood by virtue of starring in Hisss! the box office dud.

Aishwarya gave a surprise to hubby Abhishek
The Bachchans may be busy all the way, but the family sure knows how to value and strengthen their bonding. Of late, Abhishek and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan have had little time to spend with each other. It has been quite a long time they had some quality time together for their short anniversary holiday. Then Abhi got busy with the shooting of Abhinay Deo’s ‘Game’ in Greece, while Aishwarya was in India for a stint of ‘Robot’. Then Ash flew to Paris to honor Gustavo Kuerten (retired former World No.1 Brazilian tennis player) for his work with disadvantaged children. She also bonded with Steffi Graf and Mary Pierce at the charity dinner that followed.
So, missing her husband badly, Aishwarya asked her driver to take her to Abhishek as soon as she landed in Mumbai on Thursday. This was for the first time Ash took a liberty to intrude her husband while he was working at the Reliance Web World doing out-of-town press interviews. She not only met him, she also joined impromptu to talk to their fans on radio in Jaipur and Ahmedabad.
Both Abhishek and Aishwarya will be seen together in Mani Ratnam’s ‘Raavan’, where Abhi plays the character of an abductor named Veera. He is busy with the promotion of the film these days. Recently, he toured the city with six dancers dressed as characters in one of the song from the movie and he greeted fans from an open bus. He also threw goodies like ‘Raavan’ key chains and T-shirts to his fans.

Aishwarya, Abhishek may not attend IIFA
Papa Amitabh Bachchan is the brand ambassador of International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) but his son and daughter-in-law, who have been regular faces at IIFA since it began ten years ago, might skip the event this year because of their professional commitments.
Yes, there’s a strong chance that Ash would give the upcoming IIFA weekend from June 3 to 5 in Sri Lankan capital Colombo a miss because she’s flying to Paris to promote a brand she endorses.
“She is going for a Longines (international watch brand) commitment to Paris where she will be attending the French open,” her spokesperson is quoted to have said.
In the last few weeks Ash has been trotting the globe, with her visits to cities like Cannes and London. Now, she’s off to Paris.
Not just Ash, even Abhishek will be busy shooting director Abhinay Deo’s action thriller film Game in Istanbul.
